In a potentially terrible moment, a 12-year-old boy from Easley, South Carolina, transformed an interrupted audition for “America’s Got Talent” into an amazing experience for both the judges and the audience.
When Ansley began his version of Aretha Franklin’s “Think,” Judge Simon Cowell immediately interrupted her, calling the background music “horrible, horrible.”
After a lengthy break, Cowell proposed that Ansley sing without musical assistance. Despite his surprise, he politely accepted, even taking a playful drink of water from Cowell’s cup, which he playfully referred to as “magic water.” The audience and judges reacted with passionate applause.
