The 2024 Brusly High School graduate has advanced to the Top 3 on American Idol, and his hometown is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the rising star’s return this week with a full-fledged hometown celebration—including a parade and concert set for Wednesday.
🎉 Hometown Parade in Addis – Wednesday at 5:00 PM
The festivities kick off with a parade at 5:00 p.m. along First Street in Addis, where local residents are encouraged to come out in force, wearing hometown colors and lining the streets in support of John. Early arrival is recommended to grab a great spot and cheer on the community’s newest star.
🎶 Concert Celebration at Bayou Plaquemine – Wednesday at 7:30 PM
After the parade, the celebration moves to Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park (57845 Foundry Street, Plaquemine), where John will take the stage for a special concert at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and boats are welcome to join the festivities from the bayou—adding to the unique Louisiana charm of the evening.
