As the children were concluding a photo session with their parents, Portia Moore and Damien Thomas, Moore shared on Instagram about Obama’s unanticipated presence.

“Look who strolled by in our picture for our family Cherry Blossom photo shoot!” she remarked.

“Story time! It’s the kids’ turn to take a photo together, and Damien is saying something to me,” she continued. “I’m just focused on Preston not running towards the water (peak mom moment). After that shoot was completed, I picked Preston up and asked Damien, ‘What were you saying?’ He replied, ‘That was President Obama who just walked by’ and looked in his direction. I was like whaaaaat?! I rushed to the photographer and inquired if she had captured the moment. She scrolled through and BOOM there it was! The photographer noted that it was not unusual for tourists to pass by in the background.

“I visit the Tidal Basin annually,” Inell remarked. “I am quite accustomed to individuals interrupting my photographs. I assure my clients, ‘do not be concerned, they will be edited out using Photoshop.’”

Furthermore, alongside his apology, Obama shared a post regarding the day on his personal Instagram account.

“It is enjoyable to occasionally embrace the role of a tourist. The cherry blossoms were stunning this morning!” he expressed.
